North Dakota is already noticing the effects of Congress’ Lifting of the Oil Export Ban. For the first time, Bakken crude oil has been shipped to refineries in Europe.
Industry experts say this is just the beginning of something that will create jobs, add billions of dollars to the GDP, and even lower gas prices.
“Gasoline prices at the pump have been controlled globally for a long time. So now that we’re going to have a hand in creating greater supply, than that should cause downward pressure on gas prices,” says Kari Cutting of the North Dakota Petroleum Council.
