As the second largest oil-producing state in the county, the Bakken has had a direct reflection on the economy in North Dakota. Providing tens of thousands of jobs and having lowest unemployment rate in the nation, the Bakken has played a valuable part in helping reduce dependence on foreign oil. To continue our state’s success, we must encourage continued drilling, job creation, and investment across North Dakota.
